Maraschino cherries

Cherries are a specially prepared type of cherry, a fruit that grows on a tree and has a single shaft. The cherry of the word comes from the name of a Turkish town, Cerasus, and cherries are known for more than 2,000 years.

There are two basic types of cherries, sweet and sour. Although cherries can be made from any of the many types of cherry, they are usually made with sweet cherry known as a real Ann. Most are made from cherries are maraschino Oregon and Michigan.

Cherries take the first part of its name cordial with which used to be flavored. The cordial is made from maraschino cherry, then a maraschino cherry was originally a cherry cordial with cherry flavor.

Today, maraschino liqueur is very expensive, and cherries are produced to be macerated in sugar syrup flavored. Sometimes almond is added to red cherries and green mint added to cherries, but they are not dyed until after the aromatization process is complete.

At the same time, the dye used for cherries was a harmful substance, but the FDA has banned its use. An experiment in the 1990 worked on the idea of using radish pigment as coloring to create these cherries. And the cherry Company Eola has developed a wide range of colors, including Orange, electric blue, and pink. The company was bought by Oregon cherry Growers in 2006.
