Using romaine lettuce in a green smoothie


I use the entire head, including the outer leaves. Wash each leaf and then add to your smoothie. I recommend you add fruit and mix first, then add the lettuce to be founded with ease.

Due to its delicate flavor, lettuce is easily masked by almost any fruit you can imagine. My usual recipe is as follows:

  • 2-3 bananas
  • 1 Mango
  • 1 tablespoon flax,
  • A fresh frozen strawberries (or 1/2 cup frozen blueberries) or if possible
  • A whole head of romaine lettuce.

* The best complement for the breakfast of champions!
