Methods of preservation of the apricots

Fresh apricots that have not reached full maturity should be stored at room temperature. Once matured can be stored in a refrigerator (maximum 6-7 days).

Dried apricots - One of the characteristics of dried apricots is to keep intact the minerals that are normally found in fresh fruit. Even more important is the high content of dietary fiber that helps the functionality of the intestine and reduces the rate of cholesterol and sugar in the blood. Usually the dried apricots are treated with sulfur dioxide to preserve the bright color, but they also come without dyes that remain of a brown color.

Apricots in syrup - are very caloric (due to the addition of sugar); their consumption must therefore be carefully assessed.
